Founding Operator

Omar Tactuck

Omar Tactuck is a first-generation American who has spent his career building, engineering and serving. Before founding USS Logistics, he served six years on active duty in the U.S. Navy as an enlisted nuclear power plant operator aboard the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson. That work demanded precision, discipline and zero room for error.

After the Navy, Omar worked full time as a barber while earning a degree in Civil Engineering from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina. He then spent several years at Boeing as a Senior Quality Engineer, holding work to some of the strictest standards in the country.

Omar later started contracting in civil engineering so he could build something of his own and keep serving. He was also commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve, where he continues to serve today.

At USS Logistics, Omar brings that engineering background and military discipline to every grading, excavating and aggregate delivery job. He understands site work from the plans to the dirt, and he runs USS Logistics on the same principles he learned in the Navy and in aerospace: show up on time, communicate clearly, and get it right the first time. Contractors, developers and property owners across the Triad count on USS Logistics for reliable equipment, accurate grading, and on-schedule material delivery that keeps their projects moving.

Outside of USS Logistics, Omar is co-owner and President of Operations at SONTAC Roofing & Construction. He also gives back to the Triad through local volunteer work and Adopt-a-Highway program management.
